Spurs close ticket office

London - Tottenham Hotspur have had to close one of the ticket offices at their north London stadium after it was damaged in the unrest that followed the police shooting of a local man.

The Park Lane office at the Premier League club's White Hart Lane ground was damaged when a peaceful protest against this week's fatal shooting degenerated into a Saturday night rampage of rioting, looting and multiple fires.

Spurs say "supporters are strongly advised to use the telephone and internet to purchase tickets" instead of the southern-most office.

The club say the office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, but that their northern stand office will be open.

Spurs open the 2011/12 season at White Hart Lane on Saturday against Everton.
