Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspurs are interested in bringing Sporting Lisbon's Eric Dier back to England in a deal worth £4 million.

The Daily Mail are reporting that new Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to add English-born youngster Eric Dier to his 2014/15 English Premiership squad.

Dier, an England U21 international, was being monitored by EPL duo Newcastle and West Ham United but Tottenham are now in pole position to sign the young centre back.

Dier grew up in England but moved to Portugal where he was spotted by Sporting Lisbon's youth scouts and progressed through their academy into the first team.
