Spurs' Bale out for two weeks

London - Tottenham winger Gareth Bale will be sidelined for two weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during his team's 3-0 win at Fulham on Saturday.

Bale limped off in the second half at Craven Cottage after falling awkwardly following a shot at goal, but Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas revealed the injury isn't as bad as first feared and he hopes the Welsh star will be back for the busy Christmas programme.

Villas-Boas also lost Michael Dawson during the game due to a hamstring injury, but he could be fit for next weekend's trip to Everton.

"Both Bale and Dawson have suffered hamstring muscle injuries," Villas-Boas said. "One looks more serious than the other although both are controllable.

"With muscle injuries it's very difficult but it might keep him out for one to weeks. Dawson a little bit less."
