Cape Town - Thiago Silva is not giving up on his club signing Eden Hazard despite the Belgian's new deal at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian international midfielder Eden Hazard signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, the Premier League leaders confirmed last week but Paris St Germain's Thiago Silva has not given up on Hazard leaving Chelsea for a move back to France.

The 24-year-old Hazard joined Chelsea from Lille in June 2012 and has since made a total 147 appearances, scoring 43 goals, for the Londoners.

"I am very happy to sign a new contract with Chelsea," Hazard told the club's website.

"Since I came here in 2012 I have always felt good and the club has been very supportive to me."

Despite these comments, Brazil international Thiago Silva still harbours hope of Hazard lining up alongside Hazard at PSG.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
