Silva happy to play under Pellegrini

Cape Town - David Silva has thrown his support behind his manager and is looking forward to the new season.

Silva told Sky Sports that he is happy to continue at Manchester City under manager Manuel Pellegrini.

The Spanish winger insists that for attacking football, Pellegrini is the right person to be in charge.

"He's been our coach for two years and he is a coach who likes to play attacking football so for the attacking players it is very good and we want to keep playing that way." Silva said.

Pellegrini will take charge of City for the third season after the club's owner's kept their faith in him despite a trophyless 2014/15 season.

In his first season at the helm of the Manchester giants, Pellegrini claimed a league and cup double before Chelsea wrestled the title away from them last season.

The Citizens will travel to Australia next week for their pre-season tour.
