Sevilla chasing Mata

Cape Town - Manchester United's desire to keep Juan Mata at the club will be tested by La Liga side Sevilla according to reports.

The Mirror report that Sevilla are interested in bringing Juan Mata back to Spain.

The 26-year-old Spanish international has been on the fringes of the starting eleven this season under Louis van Gaal and could be allowed to leave Old Trafford in January.

Signed from Chelsea in January 2013, Mata has been in good goal-scoring form for the Red Devils despite not being van Gaal's preferred starter.

Manchester United will evaluate any bid for Mata as they will need to recoup a large portion of the £37.5 million they spent on the Spaniard last year.
