Cape Town - With Louis van Gaal reportedly interested in bringing Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United, the player is calm about his playing future at Bayern Munich.
According to ESPN, Bastian Schweinsteiger will discuss his future at the Bundesliga champions with the club's CEO in the post-season.
The experienced central midfielder has year left on his current deal with the Bavarian giants and reports continue to speculate that Bayern Munich may be tempted to part with him with Manchester United waiting in the wings.
"I have agreed to discuss my future with Rummenigge during the summer," Schweinsteiger told ARD TV.
"I still have one year left on my contract. That's why I am in no rush, even more so because it's still only early summer."
Pep Guardiola may allow Schweinsteiger to leave as he has plenty of options to replace the 30-year-old Soccer World Cup winner with.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joshua Kimmich and Sebastian Rode are young stars pushing for a spot in the Munich lineup while Philipp Lahm, Javi Martinez and Thiago Alcantara have all played in Schweinsteiger's position in the past.
The club maintain their stance that Schweinsteiger will not be sold unless he wishes to quit the club.
