Schweinsteiger linked with Bayern exit

Cape Town - Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger's future in the Bundesliga is back in the spotlight.

Manchester United manager is interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger, reports the BBC.

The Germany international has been tipped to join his former mentor at the Theatre of Dreams after stalling on a new deal with Bayern.

The 30-year-old midfielder's contract with the Bavarian giants expires in 2016.

Schweinsteiger made his debut for Bayern at age 18 and has made over 340 appearances for the club.
