Schneiderlin opens up on Spurs move

Cape Town - Despite being disappointed over a failed attempt to move to Spurs , Morgan Schneiderlin will now focus on life at the Saints.

“I will continue working with my club. Even though I was a little disappointed not to be able to leave this summer, I know it’s part of football." said the player according to the Newham Recorder.

“Southampton did everything to keep me and they also made some nice signings.

“It is thanks to them that I got into the French team, and now I have to focus on Southampton so I can be selected regularly.”

Schneiderlin was continuously linked with a move to Spurs but the Southampton board and manager, Ronald Koeman, refused to sell the dynamic midfielder to Spurs after overseeing a busy transfer period at the club.

Mauricio Pochettino will more than likely continue his pursuit of his former player during the January transfer window.
