Schneiderlin going nowhere

Cape Town - Morgan Schneiderlin will not be leaving Southampton this season and no amount of money is going to change that.

The London Evening Standard report that Ronald Koeman has drawn a line under the topic of French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin leaving the club.

"For us the rumours about him have gone away," said Koeman when again asked about a potential move to Tottenham Hotspurs.

Reports in England vary on the number of bids made by Mauricio Pochettino and the value of each increased bid with the most recent speculation that Spurs offered £16 million plus winger Andros Townsend.

Koeman has held firm on his stance regarding Schneiderlin and the midfielder appears set to stay at St Mary's for the season.

"Nothing depends on offers (for Schneiderlin) because he will stay in Southampton." added Koeman before talking about Schneiderlin's qualites.

"He showed his qualities last Sunday and we are happy to have him in our squad,".

"He played a fantastic match for us against Liverpool, and how he has acted is fantastic." Koeman said.
