The Mirror report Southampton want to bring Wesley Sneijder to the English Premiership.
Turkish club, Galatasaray, are in financial trouble after failing to pay the wages for some players in their first team squad and Ronald Koeman is looking to exploit their hardship by making a move to sign Sneijder.
Koeman hopes the Turkish outfit will be tempted to part ways with the Dutch international in order to settle their wage bill.
Southampton will complete quite a coup if they manage to convince Sneijder to make the move to St Mary's with Manchester United having been interested in the services of the play-maker for the past two seasons.
The 30-year-old player has 111 international caps for the Netherlands.
