London - England captain Wayne Rooney is the highest-paid Premier League player, in wages and endorsements combined, according to the latest list published by Forbes magazine Wednesday.

The Manchester United striker earned a total of 23.4 million dollars (18.74 million euros) last year, including 18.4 million dollars in wages and 5 million dollars in endorsements.
