Cape Town - Manchester United are readying a bid to bring beloved star Cristiano Ronaldo back to England next summer.
The Express report that former Old Trafford crowd favourite Cristiano Ronaldo may be tempted back to the club.
The Portugal star is growing increasingly frustrated at Real Madrid and speculation mounts that the Ballon d'Or winner may be tempted back to the English Premiership.
Manchester City and Chelsea are also monitoring the situation at Madrid but United remain favourites to sign the player if Los Blancos decide that he may move on.
"I have strong opinions but I can't always say what I think." said Ronaldo, talking about his unhappiness that the Champions League winners sold Angel Di Maria.
"Otherwise it would be on the front page tomorrow and I don't want that.
"But if it was up to me, I wouldn't have done so [sold Angel]."
Di Maria and Ronaldo formed a close bond on and off the pitch in Spain and Manchester United will be looking to exploit their new signing's friendship with their former star in order to ward off interest from other English Premiership clubs.
Cristiano Ronaldo has an incredible goal return at Madrid, in six seasons he has scored 256 goals in 251 games.
