London - Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said on Thursday that there was no extra pressure on his side despite the fact they are within sight of a first league title since 1990.
"We'll deal with it the same as we have from the very first game of the season," Rodgers told a press conference.
"There's no added pressure than what we had then."
With four games of the season remaining, Liverpool are two points above Chelsea and six points clear of third-place Manchester City, who lost ground by drawing 2-2 at home to bottom club Sunderland on Wednesday.
Liverpool can take another step towards the Premier League title by winning at Norwich City on Sunday, but Rodgers says that everyone at the club is keeping their feet on the ground.
"We look to win the game at the weekend. We're still in check with reality in terms of where we're at," he said.
"We've made great progress this season and our objective to qualify for the Champions League was always going to be a very difficult one because of the competitive nature of the league.
"But we're still on course for that, and if we can get a win at the weekend then that would rubber-stamp that for us."
On the same night that City dropped points against Sunderland, in-form Everton were beaten 3-2 at home by Crystal Palace, and Rodgers believes the two results underline the dangers of complacency.
"It was a warning sign for everyone that at this point of the season there is nothing guaranteed," said the Northern Irishman, whose side face a potential title decider at home to Chelsea on April 27.
"Crystal Palace had some quality possession, defended very well, and had an excellent result, and Sunderland were within a couple of minutes of victory."
Jordan Henderson will miss Liverpool's trip to Carrow Road after being sent off in last weekend's 3-2 win over City, while Rodgers revealed that striker Daniel Sturridge is doubtful due to a hamstring problem.
"He may struggle for the weekend," Rodgers said of the England striker.
"It's not too serious. It's not going to keep him out for too many weeks, but he may be a risk for the weekend. We'll assess it more over the next couple of days."
Sturridge gave vent to his frustrations on Twitter, writing: "Pushing myself to get back ASAP! Fuming I'm injured but it's life. Everything for a reason. God has his plan."
