Cape Town - Liverpool face Manchester City at the Etihad tonight and manager Brendan
Rodgers has hinted that new signing Alberto Moreno could come straight into the
side in what will be his English Premier League debut for the Reds.
Moreno signed from Sevilla for £12million earlier this month, but was ineligible to play against Southampton last weekend. According to reports, he has now been given the all-clear and Rodgers seems likely to start him in what should be a cracking contest between the two clubs.
"He has got huge potential," Rodgers told Liverpool's official website.
"We needed a left-side player. We monitored him for a while and when we felt we got the value and the worth, we were able to clinch the deal.
"He's a really exciting young player. When you watch him, he's very attack-minded, very quick and he serves the ball really well.
"He's a boy that will fit well into our way of working."
