Cape Town - Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists he is looking for quality over quantity when signing players this European summer.
Rodgers, who was named LMA Manager of the Year, was quick in bringing eight new players to Anfield last summer, but he does not anticipate being so busy this time around, insisting he would love to add a couple of 'top players' to his squad.
"I don't want to put a figure on how many but I would rather have one or two absolute top players than seven that might not help us," he told Liverpool's website.
According to Sky Sports, Rodgers believes it will also be easier to integrate new players due to the fact that most of the squad already know how he likes things to be done.
Although Rodgers' attention will be focused on strengthen his squad with new players, he will also want to hold onto the quality players already at the club. With speculation surrounding Luis Suarez's future, the Liverpool boss will be doing everything in his power to keep the Uruguayan at Anfield.
