Rio gets served by Lindegaard

Cape Town - Rio Ferdinand proves yet again that you should be careful when replying to banter on Twitter as he comes off second best in "t'war" with an ex-teammate.

For the first time since leaving Manchester United in the summer, Rio Ferdinand is preparing to face the team he represented for 12 years on Sunday, September 14 when QPR travel to face Manchester United in the English Premiership.

This is when the pre-match banter began.

Reserve goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard tweeted his old mate with an awkward picture of the pair.

And now for the infamous picture:

But Lindegaard probably didn't anticipate Rio's classic response!

But it was Anders "Splinters" Lindegaard who had the last laugh when he dug out an old clip of Ferdinand.

Perhaps Rio should ask Anders for a spot on the bench to sit down!?
