Reus' admirers keen to swoop

Cape Town - A trio of the world's leading clubs, including Manchester United, are considering bidding for Dortmund star Marco Reus.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Barcelona and Bayern Munich, along with the Red Devils, are keeping tabs on the developments on Reus' position at the club after the star player reportedly turned down a new deal.

Reus is believed to have a £27.6 million buyout clause in his contract which comes to an end in 2017.

Dortmund are considering their options of potentially selling their main attacking threat in order to avoid the player leaving on a free or further reduced sum next season.

According to Bild, Reus is considering making a move away from Dortmund and is using contract negotiations to make his intentions clear.

Reus, who missed Germany's successful Soccer World Cup campaign due to an ankle injury, is now closer to full fitness and is once again attracting the world's leading clubs attention.

Should Reus decide to remain in Germany then a move to Bayern Munich looks likely.

Reus will be following in the footsteps of ex-teammates Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski, who both left Dortmund to join arch-rivals Bayern Munich.
