Reading - Reading secured their first English Premier League win of the season by beating Everton 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

Midfielder Steven Naismith opened the scoring for the visitors in the 10th minute when he turned in Marouane Fellaini's ball from close range.

Promoted Reading, who are now unbeaten in four league games, equalised through striker Adam Le Fondre, who headed in a pass from Nicky Shorey in the 51st minute. The striker then won and converted a penalty in the 79th after a foul by Seamus Coleman.

The victory moves Reading up to 17th place with nine points and out of the relegation zone on goal difference while Everton drop to fifth on 20 points.
