QPR storm to victory

London - Queens Park Rangers climbed out of the Premier League relegation zone with a 3-0 win over Swansea on Wednesday.

Captain Joey Barton answered some of his critics by giving QPR the lead right before halftime and Jamie Mackie doubled the lead 10 minutes after the break with a shot from the edge of the box that deflected in off Angel Rangel.

Akos Buzsaky added the third with a hard shot that swerved in from 25 yards in the 67th to make sure QPR opened up a two-point cushion to the drop zone, climbing to 16th place.

Swansea is eight points ahead in 14th place.
