Cape Town - On-loan at Inter Milan, German World Cup winner Lukas Podolski is not ruling out a return to the London club at the end of the season.
Podolski joined Inter during the January transfer window after seemingly fallen out of favour with Arsene Wenger.
The German international was unhappy with his lack of game time at the Gunners and was promptly sent on loan by Arsenal. However, Podolski has no regrets with the manner in which he left London.
“I don’t regret joining Inter,” the 29-year-old told the Guardian.
“I was the one who did not want a clause [for Inter to buy him at the end of the season] because now I can evaluate everything in the summer freely and make a decision [about my future] then.
“My chapter with Arsenal is not closed. I still have a year left on my contract [there] and always got on really well with the guys and the fans.”
The 29-year-old attacking player signed for Arsenal in 2012 from Bundesliga club, Koln.
Podolski scored 31 goals in 82 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.
