Our tip: Chelsea to wake up

Cape Town – Seemingly content to cast aside current form issues, the majority of our tipsters see champions Chelsea beating arch-rivals Arsenal in Saturday’s lunchtime Premiership derby.

Four of the panel have the Blues edging the latest Mourinho v Wenger duel, whilst the other three predict a draw – so no takers at all for a Gunners triumph.

Chelsea did win the corresponding fixture at Stamford Bridge 2-0 in 2014/15, with strikes from Eden Hazard (penalty) and Diego Costa.

Each round of the 2015/16 Premiership season, a panel of our staff has a crack at predicting the results – do the exercise yourself, if you like, and see how you compare afterwards.

Compiled by Rob Houwing (Newcastle-partial), the others are Garrin Lambley (Everton), Herman Mostert (Chelsea), and a quartet of Manchester United devotees in Tashreeq Vardien, Wade Pretorius, Lloyd Burnard and Maano Nekhavhambe.

Three points are awarded for an entirely correct scoreline, and one for right result.
