No 'serious' bid from United - Koeman

Cape Town - Manchester United have not made a "serious bid" for Southampton's star midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the club's manager Ronald Koeman.

The Southampton first team returned to training on Monday with new arrivals goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and forward Juanmi joining the squad at Staplewood.

The Saints manager also revealed the he is working on a deal to keep Atletico Madrid's on-loan defender Toby Alderweireld at the club.

Koeman told theclub's website that there have been no bids for in-demand France mdifielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

“We will have to wait [to see] what will happen. Until now, we have not a serious bid for him from Man United."said Koeman.

“We will wait, but OK – that’s business that normally starts from now. It’s no problem – it’s the first day.

“We have the experience from last season – it will be not the same this season, but we are prepared for everything. I am looking forward for another good season.”
