Newcastle edge Norwich

Newcastle - Newcastle kept a clean sheet for the first time in the English Premier League this season with a 1-0 victory over Norwich at St James' Park on Sunday.

The result also spoiled Norwich manager Chris Hughton's return to Newcastle for the first time since he was fired by the Magpies in 2010.

Demba Ba scored the winner, his third goal in two games, when he turned Hatem Ben Arfa's pass into the center of the goal from close range in the 19th minute.

Norwich striker Steve Morison gave away a penalty late in the first half with a poor tackle on Mike Williamson but Papiss Cisse missed the resultant spot kick.

Norwich pressed for an equaliser in the second half but failed to find the net and remain winless this campaign.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
