Cape Town - Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says a new deal for Raheem
Sterling will be "concluded imminently" as the Premier League giants
look to secure the forward's long-term future.
The England international has proved one of the Reds' shining stars since last season but has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield, with Real Madrid thought to be keen admirers.
And while the 20-year-old still has two years remaining on his current deal, Rodgers is keen for him to commit himself to the Merseyside cause.
"It is something the club are speaking with his representatives on and I would think that would be concluded imminently," Football411 quote Rodgers as saying.
"The player is very happy and it (the delay) is nothing to do with Raheem. He wants to be here, so hopefully we get the solution on that very soon."
