Mourinho snubs Chelsea

2011-05-26 14:41

Cape Town - Jose Mourinho on Wednesday ruled out a return to Chelsea, reports The Sun.

The Real Madrid boss has snubbed owner Roman Abramovich by saying he is not interested in replacing Carlo Ancelotti.

And that will be a blow to players and fans who wanted him back.

A pal of Mourinho's said: "Jose makes no secret that Chelsea has a special place in his heart and that one day he'd love to go back.

"The trouble is nothing seems to have changed at Stamford Bridge since he left, they're still making the same old mistakes.

"There are too many different factions around Roman Abramovich as poor Ancelotti found out."

Mourinho, who has said his next job would be in England, was installed as a front-runner when Ancelotti was sacked on Sunday.

Former Blues caretaker boss Guus Hiddink, now Turkey manager, is in the frame for a comeback.

Malaga coach Manuel Pellegrini's agent has hinted Chelsea have made an initial approach. And Porto chief Andre Villas-Boas is also on the radar.

Mourinho won a personal battle on Wednesday as Real dismissed managing director Jorge Valdano after run-ins with the "Special One".

Well done Jose Mourinho , what possible chance do you have when unless you WIN the title, you get FIRED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Roman Abramovich - Has got more money than brains, Carlo Ancelotti has done very well indeed in his 2 year spell at Chelsea. I hope Chelsea get relegated in the not too distant future...oh and enjoy your fantastic Liverpool signing, you go boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Torres is a complete flop at Chelsea

      Gorilla - 2011-05-26 15:42

There's more chance of Julius Malema falling pregnant than Chelsea getting relegated.

      SOOTHSAYER - 2011-05-26 16:24

There's even a better chance for U losing your JOB, than Chelsea going to the championship....

Well done Jose, show that Russian that money cant buy class. One more year at Real and then you will be in charge at United

      Suckerz - 2011-05-26 15:12

Really? Newscastle United is looking for a manager? WOW!

      Avashen - 2011-05-26 15:16

Hell No, we dont want Mourinho at United, the last thing we want is for someone like him to come in and Lead us to a few titles and then leave. Manchester United a well established unit and they have won every trophy possible so there is no need for Mourinho. I would personally like to see a United legend take over the reins in the event of Fergusons retirement. Cantona or Giggs perhaps, someone that would manage the team for the next couple of decades like how Ferguson has done.

      Albo - 2011-05-26 15:35

@Avashen - Good points but you can`t deny Mourinho is one of the best. The reason why he left Chelsea is because of interference by Roman. Mourinho is a lot like SAF - it`s my way or no way!!

      Gorilla - 2011-05-26 15:44

I tried downloading the Imogen sex tape but it was 11Giggs.

      static - 2011-05-26 15:45

I would say he is the best manager I have ever seen. To win titles with different teams on such a consistent basis takes a lot of skill I feel.

      JustinD - 2011-05-26 15:48

      No Suckerz....Maritzburg United

      Andrew Griffiths - 2011-05-26 23:02

He lacks loyalty. He is the slut of managers. A good slut though. Hire him at your peril.

      Winston - 2011-05-26 16:23

@ Balrog... Pity there is only 2 teams in la liga...

      Matt - 2011-05-26 16:30

Take all the best players in the EPL, shove them into Man U and Liverpool and what do you get? La Liga, that's what... Balrog, ur an idiot...

Balrog Demon? Have you got hiccups?

  • Krugga - 2011-05-26 15:41

Ja boet, you shouldnt have interfered with Jose in the first place. Leave the coaching to a coaching genius and business to a business genius.

  • Samurai Demo - 2011-05-26 16:30

SPAIN ONLY HAS 2 TEAMS AND SO DOES THE EPL. the title has see-sawed between only united and chelsea.

      Bob - 2011-05-26 16:42

Balrog what a stupid name and even more stupid comment, the EPL is the most competitive in the World, my own team, Liverpool, are coming out of a long slump but that hasn't stopped them beating Utd 4 of the last 6 games, the EPL is full of good teams, save your comments for something you know about.

      JackMeoff - 2011-05-26 17:31

      DEMON OF A BOG-ROLL - Are you drunk ?

      huts25 - 2011-05-27 14:05

The game we played when Hidgink was at the helm, was super I liked it better than the Mourinho style............hope he comes back.

  • Mabhulwana - 2011-05-26 17:37

Futbol at management level is a very taxing business. Mourinho's head is getting greyer/silver by the day.

  • Jayjayc - 2011-05-26 21:52

Mourinho has all the right to refuse to go back to Chelsea. Condsidering how he was treated during his time at Chelsea. Roman should just stop interfering in the club transfers. Mind Chelsea was a much better side when they were playing without torres in the squad.

      Bratt - 2011-05-27 10:13

It's his money... surely he has a right to say how he wants it spent.

      Innocent - 2011-05-27 13:43

And he is the coach think he has the choose the team

      huts25 - 2011-05-27 14:07

@Bratt, you are obviously not a football fan. The club is bigger than its owners, although I'll forgive you since we are talking about Chelsea a team with no history and who will sink back into mediocrity once Abramovich's money is gone.

      Jayjayc - 2011-05-28 23:31

True it is his money and he can do whatever the hell he wants to do with i but he should just stick writing out the cheque books and leave the player selection and transfer to the coach.I am sure he has fine example in Perez from Real Madrid. If you want to win trophies leave the coaching and player back to the coach.
