Micah talks up City exit

Cape Town - Micah Richards has admitted that he is thinking about leaving Manchester City after he failed to receive a Premier League medal with the rest of his teammates when City were crowned champions on Sunday.

The England defender has been frozen out at the Etihad Stadium this season following a succession of injuries.

Richards has made just two Premier League appearances this season after playing second fiddle to first-choice right back Pablo Zabaleta.

He missed out on getting a title-winners medal because he hadn't made enough appearances to qualify for one.

According to the Daily Star, he now admits he could have to find a new club in the close season to save his top flight career.

Richards said: "I'm proud for the boys, but gutted I didn't qualify for an actual medal.

"But it's a great day for the club. To get the double (league title and Capital One Cup) is excellent and now we have to build on it for next season.

"We'll see what happens now. I'll take the summer to think over things. I've been here 11 years and I've enjoyed every minute.

"I don't know what the future holds - we'll see. I just want to thank everyone here for what they've done for me so far. I'll enjoy this then take it from there.

"I'm sure a lot of people hope I stay - but when your games are limited sometimes you have to do what's best for your career. I need to address that at the end of the season. "
