London - Greek side Aris Salonika were forced to pulp programmes for this week's Europa League tie with Manchester City after a spoof photograph showing an all-star City line-up was mistakenly included.

The Guardian reported on Friday that Aris officials searching online for a team photo of the English Premier League side inadvertently stumbled upon a doctored picture of an expanded City squad featuring virtually every star on the planet.

As well as City's usual line-up, the picture included, amongst others, Lionel Messi, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres, Wayne Rooney and Kaka.

City officials spotted the error while attending a pre-match function in Greece, the report said.

Although City officials saw the funny side of the mistake, embarrassed Aris officials immediately called for all of the programmes to be pulped, the Guardian reported.

City assistant manager Brian Kidd laughed off the episode when asked about it on Friday.

"I haven't seen it but it was very good," smiled Kidd. "It is just a bit of fun. You have to laugh at yourself don't you?"

Where's Wally? And Rooney? And Messi?
