Cape Town - Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has hailed the new signing of Dutch international forward Memphis Depay.
"It's still early days [for us playing together] but obviously Memphis is a fantastic talent," Rooney told manutd.com.
Rooney and Depay have started all three of the Red Devils pre-season matches including when both players scored in the 3-1 win against Barcelona.
The Manchester United skipper is hopeful of a fruitful partnership with the 21-year-old forward, who joined earlier in the summer from PSV.
"We're still working on things in training to try to get better together and get a better understanding of each other’s games which is important." said Rooney.
The Old Trafford club face PSG in their final pre-season match on Wednesday in Chicago.
