Cape Town - Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic, who moved to Anfield from
Benfica during the summer for £20million, has
struggled to live up to expectations since arriving on Merseyside.
According to the Mirror, the 20-year-old insists the club just need to continue being patient with him as he finds his feet in a new environment.
The Serbian was full of praise for the club and admits everyone has been fantastic in welcoming him and helping him settle since his arrival.
He told Mondo: “You know how things go in football, I'm getting there and adjusting well.
“It will take a little more time, but, all in all, I feel OK.
“I feel great there and everybody has been great with me. I could not wish for more. I'm happy and that is the most important thing.
“My team-mate is the legendary Steven Gerrard, the fans love me and Anfield is great. But, as I said, I just need a little bit more time."
