Maradona: 'firm offer' in UK

Buenos Aires - Diego Maradona has said he has a "firm offer" to coach an undisclosed English club and will travel to the country next month to listen to the proposed deal.

The former coach of Argentina's national team revealed his plans to reporters in the summer resort of Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Maradona did not say which English club the offer came from, but Argentine media are suggesting it could be Premier League side Fulham.

He attended Fulham's home match against Manchester City in the Premier League on November 21.

Maradona says he is "not desperate" for a job, but expects to return to coaching one day.
