Madrid eye quick deal for De Gea

Cape Town - Real Madrid are eager to complete their move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea before the team jets off on their pre-season tour.

The Telegraph report that Real Madrid want David De Gea to board the flight to Australia as part of their squad on July 13.

With just one year left on his current deal at Old Trafford, Real Madrid are expected to make a £20 million offer for his services after the current Euro qualifiers have finished.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal appears to have given up trying to convince De Gea to stay and has reportedly drawn up a list of potential replacements.

De Gea signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee of £18.3 million.

The Spanish goalkeeper enjoyed a fantastic 2014/15 season at Old Trafford winning both the Fan' Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year awards for the second consecutive season.
