The five-time European Cup winners are enduring their worst start to a League season since 1964-1965 and have conceded 22 goals in the league after 16 matches

Reds boss Brendan Rodgers has used Simon Mignolet as his number one after signing the Belgian goalkeeper from Sunderland in 2013 with the goalkeeper's current dip in form, Rodgers has been forced to look at alternatives to his number one.

Australian Brad Jones was handed a rare start for Liverpool's most recent league fixturing. He was beaten three times as Liverpool lost 3-0 to bitter-rivals Manchester United at the weekend.

Ochoa is now reportedly the main transfer target for Rodgers.

The Mexican keeper joined Malaga from French side Ajaccio after he starred at the Soccer World Cup in Brazil.

The 29-year-old has only made one appearance for Los Boquerones this season, meaning a move to Merseyside may be too good to turn down.
