Liverpool - Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks has suggested that the Premiership club could take two years to be sold.
Last month, Hicks and partner George Gillett announced they were putting the club up for sale.
The co-owners are asking for £800 million despite having bought the club for half that amount and running up debts of £237 million.
“From discussions we’ve had over the last two years, there are plenty of those people (potential investors in Liverpool) out there,” Hicks said an interview with SportsBusiness Journal in late March.
“We’ve owned it three years. We won’t own it for five.”
Hicks has reportedly reacted angrily to the publication of the remarks although has not denied making them.
