Liverpool closing in on Berahino

Cape Town - It has been reported that Liverpool are close to signing West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

According to Metro, Liverpool coach, Brendan Rodgers, will sign the 21-year-old for a fee worth £23.5m.

Reports revealed that Berahino has told West Brom that he wants to leave the club this week as the transfer window opens on January 1.

The English forward who hails from Burundi has eight goals in 21 matches.

Liverpool are looking to secure the striker’s services as soon as the transfer window opens and hopes that the fee will be enough to scare off any other potential parties.
