Liverpool close in on Origi

Cape Town - Divock Origi has been the talk of town since he got the winner against Russia after coming off the bench to secure a 1-0 victory over Fabio Capello's charges last week.

But it seems the world are latecomers to this talent as Liverpool have been tracking the teenager for much of last season where he plays for Lille.

Now the Anfield club is ready to secure the deal as soon as possible with Tottenham Hotspurs are in full pursuit of the Belgian as Mauricio Pochettino looks to rejuvenate white hart lane.

Liverpool are now ready to beat Spurs for the strikers signature with loaning him back to the French side Lille for a year to continue his development according to The Daily Mail Online.

The Express reported him saying, “As a little boy I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League. But I'm still young and now I'm in an important tournament so I'm trying to focus on the team. Then my entourage will see with Lille what I will do."
