Law backs Falcao

Cape Town - Manchester United legend Denis Law has thrown his support behind struggling Colombian striker, Radamel Falcao, to be a star at United.

The "King" scored scored 237 goals in 404 appearances for the Red Devils and has backed the on-loan signing from Monaco to adapt to life in the English Premiership.

Law told the United Review that Falcao will thrive in the top-flight of English football once he is "gets fully fit and feels right" then the Colombian hitman will "come good".

Law believes Falcao is a "very good player. There is no doubt about,".

The Scottish striker spent 11 years at Manchester United after returning to the country following a spell in Serie A.

Law said on the topic of Falcao adjusting to life at Old Trafford: "I think it can be difficult for overseas players to adapt. Not as difficult probably as it was in our day because the world has shrunk. We had a telephone and that was basically it."

Falcao could line up for Manchester United on Sunday when they Red Devils entertain Liverpool.

The match kicks off at 15:30.
