Cape Town - Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal insists he has no intention of getting out of his contract with the club, despite a rocky start to life at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman took over the reins at the beginning of the season and was tasked with reviving the club following a disastrous 10 months under former boss David Moyes.
However, Van Gaal has managed just eight points from his first six Premier League games in charge, while shock results so far include a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in the Capital One Cup and a 5-3 capitulation against Leicester City in the top flight.
However, the former Netherlands coach insists he will see out all of his three-year deal with the Red Devils, saying: "I didn't have to come here to Manchester United. They asked me.
"And I will take United back into the Champions League yes, but not at once.
"There is a trajectory and a process of three years. I have signed a three-year contract. Believe me, I shall finish that."
