LVG rules out title bid

Cape Town - After just four games, Louis van Gaal believes Manchester United will not win the 2015/16 Premier League title.

The Mirror reports that Louis van Gaal predicts his side will finish in second or third spot this season.

The Dutch manager was speaking at a fan's event on Wednesday and made the somewhat startling statement of his side's title credentials.

Van Gaal also believes that he expects the Red Devils to challenge in all three Cup competitions.

The former Barcelona manager is expected to retire at the end of next season which he leaves him just one season to claim the league crown in England.

The 64-year-old manager also confirmed that he expects current assistant manager Ryan Giggs to take over as the club's number one in 2017.
