19:54 - That's it folks! What a game. Really lived up to expectations with some classy football on display from both sides. Sheer determination won it in the end, with Torres showing he still has the class and spirit to win games! Well done to Chelsea! The win moves them into second place on the BPL log.

19:52 - Looks like Chelsea have this one in the bag! They have a free-kick in their own half now. Cech taking his time. That's it! Chelsea are victors today!!

19:51 - We're in stoppage time now. Three minutes added. One minute left.

19:48 - Torres gets the goal after a dreadful error from Joe Hart, who left the goalposts open after running out to collect the ball and bumping into his own defender. Torres got to the ball first and made no mistake with the finish. 2-1 to the hosts! Mourinho is ecstatic!!

19:47 - GOAL!!!

19:44 - Willian makes Hart work as the Brazilian's curling shot across goal goes inches wide on the right. Exciting stuff!

19:43 - Chelsea get a free-kick now, but the City faithful are not happy after Terry was singled out for fouling Aguero. The Argentinian limps off now to be substituted with Negredo.

19:41 - Chelsea have a corner but it's cleared easily. Then it comes back to Willian, who drills a shot across goal. Hart slices it clear with his feet. Pulling out all the stops now hey...

19:39 - TWEET:

'Where is the second advanced player? Put in Negredo or Dzeko, Pelegrini!!'- @Sunnytrex

19:35 - Hazard almost found a way through there, but his first-touch let him down. Should have done better... expected him to do better. 12 minutes remain...

19:32 - Some brutish defending by Chelsea as Silva is brought down on the edge of the area. End-to-end stuff now as Chelsea get a free-kick at the other end. Cross in from Oscar finds Cahill, who struggles to control at the far-post. This set-piece results in a goal-kick for the visitors.

19:27 - Navas is on for Nasri, who looks unhappy.

19:25 - Fernandinho brings down Torres, who once again leaves a few hapless City men flailing. No card shown. Free-kick on the edge of the area. Off-target by Oscar. Wasted!

19:24 - City surge forward yet again, forcing a save out of Petr Cech, who uses his feet to keep that one out. Possibly a bit nervy after letting in that Aguero goal??

19:20 - Torres with some silky skills there. He releases Schurrle and carries on with the run, but is shoved to the ground by Garcia. Torres goes down and the cynical foul gets a deserved yellow. Torres tells Webb he was elbowed, but the ref is not hearing him. Terry loses Garcia at the back post but cannot slide far enough to turn it in. Slow poke!

19:16 - Lampard free-kick in from the right and Torres leaps to meet it, but straight at Hart. It's frenetic out there right now!

19:14 - Hazard looked to be brought down in the box there by Zabaleta, but Webb is left scratching his head. Maybe wondering why he didn't get a mention in Fergie's book??? He doesn't award the penalty...

19:13 - It's all City at the moment!

19:11 - Ramires brings down Nasri on the edge of the box and is booked. Another yard and it would have been a penalty. Silva then tries to set Garcia up for a header. Not nearly enough power to beat Cech though. Should have done better with that chance!

19:08 - Aguero scored there with a stunning first-time drive from a tight angle on the left. Chech had no chance. City are pushing for another goal now with some steady pressure on their hosts. Can they make it count??

19:06 - Aguero brilliance!! Powerful stuff there from the Argentinian. This guy is unstoppable!

19:05 - GOAL!!!

19:03 - The second-half is underway now. Nasri has been run over by Ramires in the middle of the park. Free-kick to City. Silva tries his luck but only manages to find the face of Schurrle, who will be a bit dizzy after that one.

18:58 - Interesting, funny ol' game... City were clearly on top for the opening twenty minutes, but failed to make it count. Chelsea then managed to take control and gave their visitors a real run for their money. Torres was typically Torres: showing flashes of brilliance while missing a sitter. He made Clichy look like a girl before setting-up Schurrle for a tap-in on 33 minutes, then unleashed a scorcher kept out only by the crossbar. There were three bookings in the first-half. Let's see what the second has in-store...

18:46 - Terry rolls back the years and leaps up to take a nod at a Lampard corner. Nastacic stands rooted to the spot, much thanks to Terry, who has climbed all over him to get to the ball. Nothing comes of it and... It's half-time!

18:44 - Fernandinho tried a long shot there that sailed away high, wide and into the stands.

18:42 - Aguero gets a chance to test Cech now after City attack from the right. His shot across goal is saved by the keeper though, who has done really well to get a hand on that one. Some fire in that shot!

18:39 - Nasri is rolling around on the ground crying about something. I hope he's not looking for any money down there. No doubt, he'll be up and rearing to go in a jiffy.

18:37 - Ooooo... the crossbar is still shaking after Torres unleashes a venomous strike from the edge of the area on the left. Hart didn't know anything about that one! He thanks his lucky stars for the corner posts! Torres looking hungry...

18:34 - The hosts are buzzing after that goal and look to hold on to some possession now to calm the game down a bit. Torres looking hungry now though as he finds Shurle again. This time with a defence-splitting header.

18:33 - Torres wins back the crowd after a super break on the right sees him leave the City defence for dead before squaring to Schurrle, who taps in from close range. Good goal!

18:33 - GOAL!!!

18:31 - Well Torres made a total flop of that one. Really ungainly looking in front of goal. Luckily for him he was offside.

18:28 - Chelsea get the ball to Torres who is clear to score with just Joe Hart to beat. He's fluffed it! Unbelievable! The hosts should have been one-nil up. Common Torres man! Did Liverpool really get the best of you???

18:27 - Hazard palms-off Zabaleta in a somewhat girly way, scrambling for the ball as he makes a rather weak attempt at a header. Shameful!

18:24 - A clever touch from Torres there, whose confidence seems to be back in shape. Bring on the goals! Lampard has landed in some hot water after chopping down Fernandinho. Slow down Frank.. oh sorry, I mean speed up! He gets carded!

'Beckenbauer reveals on Sky that Schurrle is pronounced "Shirley" in German.' - Mike McGrath

18:19 - Yaya with some silky skills on the left there. Leaves his marker in his wake - his cross is poor though and the resultant corner is wasted too.

18:17 - A poor corner from Silva is easily cleared as the match goes through a bit of a slump with some poor defending from Chelsea, who should be careful City don't sense weakness.

18:14 - The ball is launched forward by City again - this match has the air of an classical affair, no? Yaya barges Cole to the floor in true Toure fashion. That man is a monster, I tell you!

18:09 - City look to be sitting deep early on here. Zabaleta gets a cross in but it's plucked easily from the air by Cech.

18:07 - Both teams clearly trying to assert their dominance early on here. With all these superstars on the pitch, the tactics will be key...

18:04 - The hosts are putting some good pressure on the Sky Blues, who find themselves in Chelsea's box now with Aguero and Nasri interchanging some cheeky passes on the edge of the area on the left. No breakthrough for them though and Chelsea win the ball back.

18:02 - Chelsea with the first corner, taken by Lampard from the right. Oscar gets a cross in but Chelsea are offside.

18:00 - Chelsea get the ball rolling at Stamford Bridge with Torres and Oscar pairing-up in attack. Some quick passing on the left sees the Blues with an early onslaught. City hold their ground though and defend well to win the ball. But here come the hosts again...
