Cape Town - Newcastle could be without the services of goalkeeper Tim Krul for Saturday's clash with Leicester City due to an elbow injury.
Krul was forced to withdraw from the Netherlands squad which will face Iceland in a Euro 2016 qualifier on Monday after picking up the knock in training.
While the extent of the injury is not yet known, there is cause for concern as Krul previously spent six weeks out of action due to an elbow aliment which was also suffered on international duty.
Should the 26-year-old miss the fixture with the Foxes, it will come as a major blow to under-fire manager Alan Pardew, with the Magpies currently languishing second from bottom in the Premier League standings.
