Kranjcar nets winner for Spurs

Sunderland - Niko Kranjcar netted Tottenham's match-winner for the second successive Saturday as the London club rallied to beat Sunderland 2-1 in the Premier League.

A third successive league win enabled Tottenham to provisionally dislodge Chelsea from fourth place ahead of the champions' match at Fulham on Monday. Sunderland is seventh.

Kranjcar volleyed into the bottom corner in the 57th minute after pouncing when Sandro's right-wing cross was only half-cleared by John Mensah. The Croatian also scored the winner in last weekend's match against Bolton.

Asamoah Gyan put Sunderland in front after 11 minutes with his 10th goal of the season.

But Michael Dawson headed Tottenham level in the 44th after meeting Steven Pienaar's corner.
