Cape Town - Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has rejected suggestions that
he could succeed Guus Hiddink as the head coach of the Netherlands
national team.
Hiddink is under heavy pressure following the Netherlands' dismal start to their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, with the Oranje having lost two of their opening three games.
However, Koeman insists that even if Hiddink is shown the door, he will not be the man to replace the 67-year-old.
"I am the manager of Southampton, I am not the national manager and I will not be the next national manager," Koeman told the BBC.
Koeman has made a strong start to life at the St.Mary's Stadium since taking over the reins in the off-season, with the Saints currently sitting in third spot in the Premier League standings.
