Johannesburg - According to the British football media, Tottenham Hotspur are planning to send Bongani Khumalo out on loan again.
The South African international defender is yet to play a game for Spurs, and after kicking his heels on the sidelines he was sent on loan to Championship side Preston North End last season.
Unfortunately Khumlao was injured during his loan spell, and could help PNE stave off relegation.
He returned to White Hart Lane hoping to find a place in Spurs boss Harry Redknapp's plans for the season, but it seems the former SuperSport United players is still not deemed ready for the EPL.
Both Khumlao and his fellow Spurs defender Jake Livermore will now be sent to Scottish champions Glasgow Rangers for a season-long loan.
"I met with the Rangers chairman. They are looking for some loans and I mentioned a couple if they were interested," Redknapp is quoted as saying in the Daily Mail.
"We have Jake Livermore and Bongani, he was at the World Cup. He needs to get some experience but will do well I’m sure."
Rangers have a South African connection. Their former skipper Richard Gough, who played there for over 10 years, grew up in Johannesburg and started his professional career at Wits University.
