Cape Town - Arsenal and Chelsea have been dealt a major blow in their respective bids to bring Germany midfielder Sami Khedira to the English Premiership.
The Independent report that Spanish source, Cadena SER, believe Khedira has agreed to join Bayern Munich when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been chasing Khedira's signature for some time but it appears the race has now been run with the German international opting to move back to his homeland.
Khedira will reportedly join Pep Guardiola's side on a free on July 1 after concluding his fifth season with the La Liga champions.
The German international has won the league, the Champions League and the Copa del Ray twice in his time in the Spanish capital.
