Kane staying at the Lane

Cape Town - Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his desire to keep talented youngster Harry Kane at White Hart Lane.

The 21-year-old forward is third in line for the lone striker's role at Tottenham but his manager foresees a long future at the London club according to the London Evening Standard.

Kane scored a hat-trick for Spurs in their Europa League clash against Asteras Tripoli and Mauricio Pochettino has labelled the English youngster a "very important player".

"Harry is a very important player and I am sure he will stay with us for a long time," Pochettino told reporters.

"I am head coach and I have to make decisions on selection. I have to analyse the situation and pick different players."

Kane currently finds himself behind Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado but there is hope for Kane in his quest for a first team spot.

"Harry shares a position with other players in the squad and all the players have the opportunity to play and to show themselves.

"There will be many changes and maybe Harry will be in the first 11."
