Johnson to snub 50% deal

Cape Town - Glen Johnson's future at Liverpool looks bleak after the defender was offered a new deal but on half his current earnings.

The Daily Mail report that Liverpool are willing to keep Johnson at the club for two more years but only want to pay the defender half his current salary.

Johnson's future at Liverpool is in doubt after Liverpool reportedly offered the English defender a new two year deal at 50% of his current
£120,000-per-week salary.

The former Chelsea defender is considering his options as he is hesitant to sign the deal which would dramatically reduce his stature at the club.

Johnson is free to open talks with interested clubs on January 1 and leave Anfield on a free on June 30.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
