Januzaj happy to stay

Cape Town - Adnan Januzaj insists he is happy at Manchester United but would like Louis van Gaal to play him more centrally this season.

The Belgian teenager Adnan Januzaj is not threatened by the arrival of Angel Di Maria and Falcao but would like the coach to play him in a different position.

According to The Mirror,Januzaj is determined to stay at United and reports of his unhappiness are far off the mark.

"I saw some reports saying I was unhappy. That couldn't be further from the truth.

"I love this club and I'm excited to play for this manager."

"The fans have been so good to me and I want to repay them."

The pacey youngster has been used primarily as a winger in his time at Old Trafford but would like to be given an opportunity to play as a number ten, which he considers as his best position.

"No. 10 of course. That's my preferred position, but I'm happy to play anywhere for the manager." said Januzaj, appearing to throw his name into competition with Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata for the role at the top of the diamond or alternatively behind the main striker.

Januzaj scored a hat trick in Monday night's Manchester United under-21 match 4-0 win over Sunderland.
