Injury scare for City captain

Cape Town - Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has been unable to train with the Belgium squad ahead of their international friendly against Australia on Thursday night.

According to Sky Sports, the 28-year-old is expected to have injured his calf muscle during training with the national squad and has been sent to hospital for further scans.

City fans now have a nervous wait before finding out how serious the situation is.

The Manchester club play their next game on September 13th when they travel to London to play Arsenal at the Emirates.
