Iniesta doubts Ramos' exit

Cape Town - Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta believes that Real Madrid will keep hold of his international teammate Sergio Ramos.

Teamtalk report that the Barcelona legend doubts Sergio Ramos will make a move away from Real Madrid.

Manchester United are attempting to lure Ramos to Old Trafford this summer after reports that the defender was unhappy with life at Madrid.

The Red Devils then tabled an offer of £28.6 million for the 29-year-old star defender, which Real Madrid promptly rejected.

Iniesta has weighed in on the transfer story of the summer but provides little hope to fans of Manchester United.

"I’ve always said that Sergio is one of the best centre-backs around,” Iniesta told AS.

“He’s already in a great team and, to be honest, I can’t see Madrid letting him leave.”

Ramos signed for Los Blancos as a teenager from Sevilla and has gone on to become a club legend.

In 10 seasons at Madrid, Ramos has won 10 trophies and represented the team on 455 occasions.

Ramos has 128 caps for Spain.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
